Send us a project

Send the structural plan for a project you're bidding. We'll evaluate your existing products against its requirements and send back performance, savings, and reduced piece count.

Free to run. Pay when you win. Include the optimization engineering as a line item in your bid proposal, and pay only when you're awarded the project.

Products to evaluate (optional)

Plans showing spans and loads. Up to 10 files, 200 MB each: PDF, DWG, DXF, RVT, IFC, ZIP, spreadsheets, or images.

Your project data stays confidential

  • Your files are encrypted in transit and at rest (AES-256) and stored in a private Google Cloud bucket in the United States, separate from Cimbra user accounts.
  • Only the Forma Systems team working on your project can access them.
  • We use your files only to evaluate this project. We don't share them, and we don't use them for marketing or to train AI models.
  • Need an NDA first? Email projects@forma-systems.com and we'll sign one before you send anything.
  • Ask us to delete your files at any time by emailing projects@forma-systems.com.

What Cimbra does

01

Compare products

Evaluate multiple systems for the same project.

  • Hollowcore
  • Double tees
  • Flat slabs
  • Multi-ribbed slabs

02

Optimize what matters

Place material optimally while meeting structural and manufacturing requirements.

  • Cost
  • Concrete volume
  • Steel volume
  • Weight
  • Depth
  • Embodied carbon

03

Validate engineering faster

Explore thousands of viable configurations in seconds.

  • 20,000 options per second
  • ACI 318-19 & CSA A23.3
  • Fabrication constraints

Whole projects in one run

Evaluate every span and load case on a project together, not one piece at a time.

Reports ready for review

Export PDF reports with section drawings, reinforcement details, and code check tables, ready for engineer review.

ACI 318-19 and CSA A23.3 Compliant

Design to the code your market requires. Eurocode 2 support coming soon.

How Cimbra works

Prefer to run it yourself? Your team can use Cimbra directly.

1

Load your products

Set up your mold library with the products you already cast, and choose which features (such as flange thickness or strand layout) can vary.

2

Enter the project

Import the project's spans and loads or enter them directly, then choose what to optimize for: cost, weight, depth, embodied carbon, or concrete and steel volume.

3

Compare options for your bid

Cimbra evaluates thousands of code-checked configurations across your products for every load case, so you can compare options side by side before you price the job.

4

Evaluate your results

Open any option to see whether it passes code checks, its optimized cross section and 3D model, and the recommended concrete mix, then export it as a PDF report for engineer review.

Installed

Optimized in Cimbra. Installed in a building.

Four shape-optimized prestressed floor slabs, spanning 35 feet, were fabricated by J.P. Carrara & Sons, Inc. and installed by Pinnacle Precast and Steel Erectors Inc. on a residential project. The multi-ribbed design replaces a traditional 12″ hollowcore plank.
