Do I need to be a licensed engineer to use Cimbra?+
Cimbra is a computational tool intended for use by qualified professionals. All results are preliminary and must be independently verified by a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) before use in design, fabrication, or construction.
How does catalog-based optimization work?+
You configure and select molds from your library that represent your actual casting beds and manufacturing capabilities. Cimbra optimizes within each mold's geometry constraints, so results map directly to what you can produce.
Can I optimize across multiple spans and loads?+
Yes. In project mode, you define a table with different spans and loads. Cimbra optimizes each span independently using your selected materials and mold geometries producing a design matrix where the user can find the best designs for each span or designs that work efficiently for multiple spans.
What does the free trial include?+
The 30-day free trial includes full access to Cimbra's optimization platform, with restrictions on new mold design input and report export.
How much does Cimbra cost?+

What export formats are available?+
Cimbra generates professional PDF structural reports and CSV data exports. Reports include section drawings, reinforcement details, structural diagrams, and ACI 318 verification tables.
Is my project data secure?+
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256), stored in Google Cloud Firestore in the United States. Firestore security rules ensure you can only access your own projects. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
